Transparent and centralized markets

The focus of the trading platform Sierra Chart is on futures markets. There is a large variety of products made available to retail traders as well. This includes currencies, energy, grain, feedstock, metals and stock indices.

Main advantages:

• Futures markets are centralized markets.
• One order book per market meaning all-to-all trading. No market separation into insiders and outsiders (like equities trading).
• Transparency on what and how it’s traded (Level 1 data).
• Easy access to level 2 data and depth of market (limit orders in the book).
• Commonly high liquidity resulting in smallest possible bid/ask spreads (usually 1-2 ticks even when markets are moving fast).
• Lower transaction costs and ability to trade more value per trade through leverage (apply appropriate risk management!).
• The most relevant Futures contracts are traded almost around the clock.
